North Hills High School is proud to announce that 64 students earned AP Scholar recognition for 2025, highlighting both academic excellence and the district’s Advanced Placement program.

A record-breaking 213 students took AP exams this year—the highest number in five years and an increase of 38 students over 2024. Together, they completed 388 individual exams, 96 more than last year. Impressively, 82 percent of students scored a 3 or higher, with 175 students earning these college-credit-eligible marks.

AP Scholar Breakdown:

  • AP Scholars (64 students): Awarded to students scoring 3 or higher on three or more AP exams
  • AP Scholars with Honor (16 students): Granted to those averaging at least 3.25 across all AP exams, with scores of 3 or higher on four or more exams
  • AP Scholars with Distinction (20 students): The highest honor, awarded to students averaging 3.5 or above across all AP exams, with scores of 3 or higher on at least five exams

In a standout performance, Calculus AB posted the highest mean score of any course at 4.54, with 28 of 46 students scoring a perfect 5. This class was taught by Ms. Deb Everhart.

“These achievements reflect not only the hard work of our students but also the dedication of our teachers in preparing them for success at the college level,” said Principal Kevin McKiernan.

Congratulations to all of this year's AP Scholars!
