This week, senior Luke Kaylor competed in the WPIAL Golf Section Qualifiers and punched his ticket to the WPIAL 3A Boys' Golf Individual Championships First Round.
Kaylor, along with teammates Cody Miller, Brady Steve, Brady Peterson, Jack Balkey, and Carson Eckert, played at Pheasant Ridge Golf Club on Wednesday. They needed a score of 82 or better to qualify for the WPIAL Individual Championships.
While other members of the North Hills team narrowly missed the target score, Kaylor shot an 81 to advance. His score placed him eighth in Class 3A Section 7. In total, ten individuals from the section moved on to the next round of competition.
The first round of the WPIAL Individual Championships is Monday, September 22, at Willowbrook Country Club. Kaylor will hit the course at 9:28 AM. The top 36 (and ties) will advance to the WPIAL 3A Boys' Golf Individual Championships Final Round the following week.
