North Hills High School wrestling has earned statewide recognition for excellence in both academics and athletics, with 13 student-athletes named to the 2025-26 Pennsylvania Wrestling Coaches Association (PWCA) All-Academic Team, the highest total of any school in Pennsylvania this year.

The prestigious honor highlights wrestlers who demonstrate outstanding performance on the mat while maintaining strong academic achievement in the classroom. North Hills' 13 selections underscore the program's commitment to developing well-rounded student-athletes.

Leading the way, eight North Hills wrestlers earned First Team honors:

  • Paul Cerminaro - Junior
  • Thomas Cloonan - Junior
  • Austin DeMartino - Junior
  • Cameron Healey - Sophomore
  • Christopher Hunter Nestor - Junior
  • Adam Overton - Junior
  • Brady Rohaly - Junior
  • Shaun Murphy Jr. - Junior

Sophomore Asher Morvay was named to the Second Team, while senior Armani Polito earned Third Team recognition. Three additional wrestlers received Honorable Mention: Seniors Carter Morvay and Giovanni Polito and sophomore Jacob Lamaide.

Each year, the PWCA selects Boys and Girls All-Academic Teams to recognize student-athletes who excel in both wrestling and academics. To be considered, nominees must meet rigorous criteria, including maintaining a minimum non-weighted GPA of 3.0, achieving at least a .600 varsity winning percentage during the season, and competing in a minimum of 15 varsity matches. Additionally, both the head coach and school district must be active PWCA members.

The Pennsylvania Wrestling Coaches Association is a nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting and growing the sport of wrestling across the state. Its All-Academic Team reflects the organization’s emphasis on the importance of discipline, dedication, and achievement both in competition and in the classroom.
