School board donates books in honor of retiring secretary Lori Rieger
Longtime school board secretary Lori Rieger was surprised at her last-ever school board meeting June 13 when board members, along with Superintendent Dr. Patrick Mannarino and district solicitor Mike Witherel, each presented Lori with a book, dedicated in her honor, to be donated to our school libraries.
Rieger will retire next month after 26 years with the district.
The books, handpicked by our board with the help of West View Elementary librarian Stephanie Tumbas, are each perfect in their own way --- with a few nods to her all-time favorite, Hamilton the musical.
Mrs. Reiger began as a lunchroom assistant and playground aid for the district in the mid 1990s. She has served as Dr. Mannarino's confidential secretary and secretary to the school board for the last 11 years.
Her last day at North Hills will be July 3.
