North Hills Girls Lacrosse honors its senior players during 18-1 blowout versus Armstrong

On Friday, April 17 the North Hills Girls Lacrosse team held their Senior Night at Martorelli Stadium. The team recognized their senior players before playing their game against Armstrong, which they defeated 18-1.

The North Hills Girls Lacrosse team honored its senior players: Paige Hollenberger, Riley McKee, Kaylee Schindler, Lexi Soltis, and their team manager Analise Kaufmann on Friday, April 17 at Martorelii Stadium. 

The game started off well for North Hills; the girls were winning 15-1 in the first half and finished the game with an amazing score of 18-1. 

Riley McKee, who received “Player of the Game,” reflected on what she will miss the most about lacrosse: “I am going to miss the girls and all of the friendships I have made over the years while playing lacrosse.” On Friday, the seniors took the time to think about all of the memories they have made over the years while playing lacrosse. Senior Captain Paige Hollenberger shared, “My favorite lacrosse memory is scoring my first varsity goal in a playoff game my freshman year and beating Shadyshide this year!” 

Alongside celebrating the seniors, the team also recognized junior Addison Moriconi for achieving her 50th assist and junior Jillian Wilksinson for achieving 50 caused turnovers in their varsity high school careers.

With an overall record of 6-4, this team has several skilled players and will surely be performing just as well next season. 

The girls will next host Lacrosse Youth Night during their section game against Shaler on April 22nd at 6:30 at Martorelli Stadium.
